Ani Difranco
Angela Maria Ani DiFranco is an American-Canadian singer-songwriter. Her albums span over 20 years. The music of DiFranco is classified as folk, alternative and rock, but it also has hints from jazz and hip-hop. A feminist icon widely recognized as Grammy winner Ani DiFranco is the mother of the DIY movement and is among the first artists to create her own label 1990. DiFranco is the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross), and Dante Americo DiFranco. They met at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
